    Insights on Canadian higher education

In terms of gaining market share, Canada grew impressively from the beginning of the century until last year. In 2001, it didn’t even appear in the chart of Top Host Destinations for international students. While, in 2017, Canada shows the same percentages as France and Australia and overcomes Germany, for example.

Why are more international students coming to Canada?

There are many reasons why Canada is a cherished destination for international students. Among other factors, the tuition fees are considered really affordable for the high-quality education offered. Moreover, according to surveys, Canada education prepares students well for the job market.

Normally, they get part-time jobs, inside and off campus, to get some extra money that helps to pay for the living expenses. Also, lots of them continue to work in Canada after graduation. Some are even eligible to immigrate after graduation. Also, the provinces of Atlantic Canada have a government policy to improve international student retention.
